HHFD Installation 2016

The Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department held its Installation Dinner for Chief Patrick Hayes and the Department Officers at The Graycliff on Saturday, January 16, 2016.

The Department Officers were officially sworn in on Janaury 1, 2016 at Borough Hall.

Master of Ceremonies, Ex-Chief Richard Giarratana, acknowledged Borough Officials and visiting dignitaries who were in attendance. First Assistant Chief Angelo Roccamo led the Pledge of Allegiance. The Invocation was given by Fire Commissioner David Gonzalez.

The introduction of The Department Officers was followed by the traditional toast by Second Assistant Chief Robert Knobloch.

Mayor Jack DeLorenzo, Fire Commissioner David Gonzalez and Chief Patrick Hayes spoke.

Recognition was given to members who made 400 or more EMS calls in a year. They are: Antonio Cirillo Jr., Edward Mucha, Patrick Mucha, Gregory Rubino, Jeffrey Rubino, and Allison Saabye. John Riordan was recognized for his service as EMS Captain from 2012 to 2015. A plaque was presented by NJ Aviation Hall of Fame Trustee, Fritz Rethage, to The Department, recognizing their continuing support.

Floral bouquets were presented to the Chiefs’ wives and Fire Chief’s Secretary, Nancy Halloran. Presentations were made by Mutual Aid Fire Departments.

The surprise highlight of the evening was the marching in of the Bergen County Firefighters Pipe Band. DJ Music was provided by Black Magic Entertainment. ###
