x14jul.jpg (6376 bytes) On Saturday, July 12, 2014, the Hasbrouck Heights Mayor and Council and the DPW presented their new Elgin Street Sweeper. The town’s 25 miles of road are swept weekly, weather permitting. The new sweeper has better visibility, controls and handling than the previous 1999 unit. [Photo & story]

On Sunday, February 3, 2013, the Hasbrouck Heights Recreation Department hosted their 7th Annual Invitational Wrestling Tournament.

Participating were 10 recreation department teams from: Hasbrouck Heights, Lodi, Ridgefield Park, Paramus, Union City, Garfield, Saddle Brook, Wood-Ridge, Hawthorne and Hackensack. [Story] [Photos in pdf format]

On the evening of December 11, 2009, several 911 calls were made to dispatch reporting a fire on Washington Place, near Terrace Avenue.  At 21:32, the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department was dispatched to a working fire consuming the front porch, with heavy smoke throughout the structure.
